VIGIL production line

Technology

From CAD file to drop-test rig.

Everything that determines whether a lens fogs, scratches or shatters happens inside these walls.

Four stages

What "made in-house" actually means here.

01 — Tooling & moulding

12 injection-moulding lines, 40+ existing frame tools

Nylon TR-90 frames and polycarbonate lenses are moulded on site, to our own tooling. That is why we can quote a private-label run in days instead of months — and why we can hold a ±0.05 mm tolerance run after run.

02 — Optical coating plant

Anti-fog, hard coat and mirror, applied in-house

The permanent anti-fog layer is chemically bonded to the inner lens surface, not sprayed on. Salt-spray testing runs 500 hours; wiping tests run 2,000 cycles. Coatings do not wash off because they are not on the surface — they are part of it.

03 — Impact test lab

Batch-tested to ANSI Z87.1+ and EN166

A 0.86 g steel ball at 150 ft/s for Z87.1+ High Velocity Impact. EN166 3 droplet and D4/D5 dust for sealed goggles. We keep the test record for every production batch — ask for it with any PO and we'll send the matching report.

04 — Traceability

Five years of batch records, per shipment

Every carton carries a batch code tied to mould, resin lot, coating run and test result. ISO 9001:2015 and BSCI audited annually. If an EHS audit asks, you will have the paper.

Quality gates

Six checks before a single pair ships.

  • Resin lot verification on arrival
  • In-line dimensional check every 30 minutes
  • Lens optical power and prism deviation
  • Coating adhesion and anti-fog performance
  • High-velocity impact on sampled units per batch
  • Final visual and packaging audit before palletising
